DR2.0 also has better physics, better graphics, a better repairs system (and an optional "hardcore" damage mode), Dirtfish, time trial ghosts, and many other improvements. So among you and your friends, only one of you could buy the DLC and you could all play it as long as being reliant on the host isn't an issue for you. Overall I would recommend DR2.0, especially if you can buy the DLC, but even if you can't, because you can potentially still play the DLC you don't own by joining someone's multiplayer lobby who does own the DLC. It's a little buggy but it doesn't bother me personally.
